Going off to bed now.. so here's a little something for you all to enjoy...
The Event Horizon was the current techno club of choice for all who sought the unrestrained, wild mix of music and people. There was no time that it was open that the dance floor wasn't packed, filled with teenagers and young adults thrashing wildly about to the blaring music. It was into this cacophony of sound that she ventured. She was not tall, perhaps five and a half feet, overshadowed by most within the club. However, she stood out more than any other. Red hair flashed, the light playing off of it like sparks from a fire as she danced to the music. Pale skin came and went in visiblity as she moved through the crowd, hair whipping about. Many attempted to draw her into dancing with them, enticed by the too-tight shirt as well as the jean shorts, slung low to reveal the top of her bikini-cut undergarments. She slid through the fingers of all her admirers, never staying in one place long enough for anyone to catch her attention.
He watched her from the bar, eyes never losing track of her as she threaded through the crowd. His lips parted slightly, tongue brushing over the barely perceptible fangs there before moistening his lips. Dark hair was brushed aside, revealing silver-grey eyes that missed nothing of the female's movements. He finished the drink he'd been holding for the better part of an hour, then moved into the crowd, a slender, pale figure dressed in black. A few females approached him, but a moment's attention alerted him to their heavily drugged state and he dismissed them. Only she had truly caught his attention these past few nights that he'd been here, searching for a suitable candidate. Unfortunately, she was elusive, and he was never able to corner her as he wished. It was a frustrating experience, to have something inches from your grasp and then to watch it slide from your fingers like air. That would not be the result tonight. His prey would not elude him again.
The lights above began to flash, blinking wildly as the music picked up, the crowd growing more excited in response. He found himself jostled frequently, and resisted the urge to fly over the crowd or begin shoving them aside. The distance between them widened as she reached the stairs to the upper level. And stopped. Her head tilted to the side, then turned, looking directly at him. He found himself seared by that gaze, his every motivation for stalking her reduced to a paltry, base urge. Her gaze held him, stripping away all the layers of being he'd established to present himself as an appealing individual to others. He stood there, enduring her relentless, searching eyes until he was ready to prostrate himself at her feet, to debase himself however she might desire, if she'd only stop staring at him so intently. And then she smiled.
The effect was, to him, unlike anything he'd experienced or known of. His senses were overwhelmed, every cell of his body exploding with sensation, harrowing him to the very core of his being until he ached in reaction, quivering uncontrollably. Her smile faded slowly, heralding the return of physical control. But it did nothing to lessen his now burning desire to know who.. what he'd chosen for prey. When she started up the stairs without another glance in his direction, he moved through the crowd, following.
She was the first thing he saw as he stepped through the doorway into the spacious office. She sat on the edge of the desk there, legs dangling from it loosely as her hands braced themselves on the edge. Quietly, so as not to anger her, he closed the door behind him, making no sound until she herself declared it appropriate. Green eyes flashed as she raised her head slightly.
"Who are you?" her voice sent a shudder through him, the soft, musical tone almost a caress.
"I'm-"
"Never mind, I don't care what your name is," she cut him off. "Explain why I shouldn't destroy you for presuming to make me one of your.. victims...?"
He stared at her, eyes widening as he began to tremble. "I.. I..."
"That doesn't matter either," she decided. "I think I'm going to let you live. But I don't want to see you here again, are we clear? Just nod, I can't stand the sound of your voice."
Nodding emphatically, he watched her fearfully, sensing she was something far beyond his experience finally.
"I'm going to go now," she said. "And you'd best... go find a better target than I." With that, she bounced off of the desk, walking out of the office without a backwards glance.
XD There you go. Bamirin, I'll share exactly WHAT this is with you... And now, I am off to bed...

Bamirin, yes, SoM is more captivating than CoTM, HOWEVER, if you found the pb of SoM that good, you'll LOVE the pb of Warhost, since the pb of Warhost and SoM were one book in hardcover.... and Warhost absolutely RULES. XD

I have seen the promo trailer for MKR2(which I don't yet have... *sobsob*) as well as one for Ruroni Kenshin(spelling is probably wrong, but I care less about RK than I do MKR, being a psychopathic MKR-fan), all I can say is.... *DROOL* Must... have... Arashi-san, Ragabash-san, have either of you read Imzadi by any chance? Of Peter David's work, I like it quite a bit, with Q-Squared ranking second. I've not read Vendetta though.

For the most part, you are correct, there is a LOT of fighting going on in DBZ, even to it being extremely excessive and foolish(Goku's battle with Frieza went on for twenty episodes), the biggest problem of their mangling it, is that the episodes that are key, where something important or heart-wrenching happens(don't laugh, it does happen) are so screwed over to make it seem like an endless series of battles that it totally ruins the good.
Even the Sailor Moon dub, hacked as it was, didn't succeed at ruining the best episodes of the series(the first series anyways). But Funimation has so totally americanized DBZ in their dubbing efforts that it's not even recognizable as what the original was.

I protest, NnM, DBZ is not overrated. It is the victim of mangled dubbing, bad voice acting(one guy doing half the cast?!?!), deleting and or altering of the way crucial scenes were supposed to be, adlibbing by the VA's and hacking and compression even worse than what was done to the original 65 episodes of the Sailor Moon dub. And after all of that, it was STILL not as bad as the dub of Card Captor Sakura.

Whoo. Poe has returned after spending the greater share of the evening out and about... Let's see.. went with the intention of seeing The Fast and the Furious, but decided to get ice cream and goof around at sister's for a bit.. this involved eventually riding and snatching one of my MKR series 1 tapes, but the experience of trying to get them to watch was greatly ruined by the fact that my sister's bf's annoying devilspawn was continually whining.. we goofed around after that, and then...
We played Monopoly!!!! XDDD
But once again, it was ruined because of said devil-child, who I know have a severe desire to strangle.. as I held two entire property sets, three railroads and a utility as well as a few random properties..the sister's bf had a lot of money, but he ne'er did anything with it.. even passed on the opportunity to block me from getting all four railroads.
And I am now home. Unfortunately, I don't see bamirin anywhere.. ;_;

This is what I get for not scrolling down and reading fully...OoT is ridiculously easy once you beat it the first time. And the only hard part about beating Ganondorf is when you can't lock on to him in trying to bounce the magic back. That was hard the first time.
Yes, Phantom Ganon was a pain(could ne'er knock him off his horse.. -_-;;)
As for the Bottom of the Well and the Shadow Temple... *shudders* Were you also creeped out by the Deadhands? I LOATHED those things...
Okay..enough ramblings from me about OoT...

NnM, you've cleared the temples, yes... but you still have to go to Ganon's Castle... XDD But befur(spelling intentional, minna) that, you'll learn something else!(of course, you've probably beaten the game before, so this is a moot statement... And aren't the Water and Shadow Temples a pain? I hated them the most of all the temples, I think... And the fact that they took the boomerang away when you grew up! The boomerang was cool, damnit! Ah well... Ocarina of Time is still an excellent game.. I wish I were able to get into Majora's Mask better... but it quickly grew to aggravate me....
Random: Have you beaten Link's Awakening for the Gameboy? Tis a good Zelda game, imo...
